What supporting documentation will I need to provide?

Under the new licensing requirements, all stallholders will need to provide copies of the relevant supporting documentation before the event.

Depending on the type of stall you are operating and what applies to your business, please have the appropriate documents ready to submit:

• A photo or scan of your ID, proof of address and NI number

• Your Public Liability insurance certificate

• Food hygiene certificate (if selling food)

• Gas Safety certificate (if using gas)

• PAT test certificate (if using electrical equipment)

• Photos of your vehicle (if trading from one)

A clear photo taken on your phone is absolutely fine — it doesn't need to be a professional scan.

All information and documentation provided will be stored securely and reviewed by an authorised member of the Ware Dickensian Evening Committee for the purposes of meeting our event licensing requirements.

Please note: Failure to provide the required documentation by the specified deadline will mean that you will not be permitted to trade at the event.

Is parking available for Stall Holders?

The roads are closed for safety reasons so street parking near the venue is unavailable.

For Drill Hall there is a car park on Broadmeads.

For the High Street and Tudor Square there is a carpark at Burgage lane.

Is Drill Hall Accessible?

Yes, the venue is all on one level and is accessible for wheelchairs. However please be aware the event is very busy - quieter times are between 9pm and 9.30pm. We do operate a one way system to ease congestion.

Is there a list of the stalls for 2026?

IYes, there will be a list of the stalls in the event programme which is in local shops and will be available to download from our website.
